Driving Directions:
From Mancos, Colorado, Travel north on Colorado Highway 184 for 0.2 mile and turn east onto the West Mancos Road (Forest Road 561). Go 10.0 miles to the Transfer Campground. The trailhead, which is shared with the West Mancos Trail, is on your right, directly across from the campground.
Hiking Directions:
The trail passes through ponderosa pine, oak and aspen stands to a viewing platform overlooking the West Mancos Canyon. Horses, mountain bikes and motorized vehicles are not allowed. The easily graded gravel trail is handicapped accessible and offers spectacular views of the La Plata Mountains. Benches are provided along the way.
